Bump In, Bump Out - and how we roll

Here's a quick synopsis of how we start up and shut down the market - and your role and obligations as part of our valued stall holder community.

First up, you will need a map of the market. You can access the latest copy here to download. (It's a PDF so just use the built-in menu on the screen to hit the download icon..)

Next, here's the key points to bump-in and bump-out. We try to keep the rules simple and common-sense, but if in doubt, stop and ask one of our site volunteers:

  • The Mirboo North Community Market Bump-in commences at 7 am. No vehicles are admitted after 8am unless at the express discretion of the Market Coordinator - and only when your vehicle has the accompaniment of a site volunteer.
  • Check your site allocation email well before you arrive and find your stall number on the map. This will tell you which entrance you should use. As a general rule, stalls to the right of the cenotaph on the map should enter via the Grain Store bump-in point, all others via the Council Car park end.
  • Remember your full stall number - e.g. it is not "27" - it will be Baromi Park 27 or Car Park 27. Telling us "27" will just delay everything and everyone at bump-in. It's a team sport, so do your bit.
  • In winter, we sometime have real challenges with the park being wet. We may send late emails with revised access instructions, so keep an eye on your inbox on Thursday and Friday of market week!
  • Stall holders must report to the check-in point at either the Baromi Store end or at the Council Car park end. Our marshals will have green hi-vis vests.
  • Vehicles are to be driven in the park at walking pace and with hazard flashers operating.
  • There is to be no stall holder vehicle movement out of the park until we close trading at 1 pm. Those choosing to ignore this directive will find they are suspended for two markets, without further correspondence. We have covered in detail how you go about seeking cooperation to leave early in our terms and conditions document.
  • The full set of terms and conditions for the market operation (and our code of conduct that applies to everyone) that all stall holders agree to in their application form can be found here.

We are not bound by the Australian or Victorian Privacy Act - but we do operate using its principles for the treatment of your personal data. We DO NOT on-sell or divulge your personal data unless required to by law or unless it is for legitimate business needs and operations and we have your explicit or implicit permission.
